Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy trainees continued their domination of the National Junior Circuit by claiming 7 out of 9 titles at stake in the recently concluded National Junior Ranking Tournament at Hyderabad.
In the Under-19 Boys Singles, Mithun Manjunath beat his Academy partner Arintap Das Gupta 21-4, 4-0 (Retired). Under-19 Girls Singles title was won by Shikha Gautam by defeating Ira Sharma of Haryana 21-17, 21-14 in the finals.
In the Under-17 Boys singles, Rahul Bharadwaj made a victorious comeback after a long layoff due to injury and won the crown beating another Academy trainee Maisnam Meiraba 21-18, 21-10.

In the paired events also PPBA players excelled by winning 4 out of the 5 titles at stake. In Under-19 Boys Doubles Bodhit Joshi & Mithun Manjunath beat Gouse Shaik & Basheer Syed 21-19, 21-9. Under-19 Girls Doubles was a all PPBA affair in which Mahima Aggarwal & Shikha Gautam scored over Ashwini Bhat & Mithula U K 17-21, 21-17, 22-20. Even though the champion pair lost the first game 17-21, they regrouped and played better and took the 2nd game 21-17 and the decider game saw a see-saw battle before Mahima and Shikha could win it 22-20. However, Ashwini Bhat and Mithula U K did not disappoint themselves as they lifted their 2nd title of the season in Under-17 Girls Doubles by beating 3rd seeded pair of Simran Singhi & Ritika Thaker of Maharashtra 21-15, 18-21, 21-13. In the Under – 19 Mixed Doubles, Academy player Mahima Aggarwal, paired with Krishna Prasad G, to win the trophy beating Balraj Kajla & Mithula U K 21 -15, 22 – 20.
