Lakshya Sen wins Silver at the Youth Olympic Games

Former Junior World No 1 Lakshya Sen went down fighting in the men’s singles badminton final at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires on Friday, losing 15-21, 19-21 against China’s Shifeng Li. He became only the second Indian to win a Silver Medal in Youth Olympics after H S Prannoy who had won in the inaugural edition of the Games at Singapore in 2010.

Siddharth Pratap Singh wins maiden Senior title in Sweden

19 year old Siddharth Pratap Singh won his first Senior title at an international event i.e. the Swedish Open 2018 in Lund on Sunday, beating Mads Christophersen of Denmark 21-15, 21-11 in 33 minutes. Siddharth had to save a match in the second game in the first round of the tournament against Patrick Bjerregaard of Denmark to remain in contention. He beat Patrick 21-23, 23-21, 21-15; Sergey Sirant of Russia 21-15, 21-9; Hermansah of Indonesia 21-18,21-16 and Felix Burestedt of Sweden 21-19, 21-18 in the semi finals.

Rahul Settles for Silver at Yonex Sunrise India Junior International Grand Prix 2017

Rahul Bharadwaj's giant killing run came to an end in the finals of the Yonex Sunrise Indian Junior International Grand Prix which concluded in Pune yesterday. Rahul capitulated to the top seed and Junior World No. 2 Kunlavut Vitidsarn rather meekly in straight games 16-21, 11-21.

Rahul and Meiraba Lifts Titles

In the under 17 Boys Singles, top seeded Meiraba Luwang also lifted his second title of the season by beating Iman Sonawal of Haryana in straight sets 21-17, 21-12 in the finals. Rahul Bharadwaj and Meiraba Luwang won the Boys Singles Under-19 and Under-17 Titles respectively in the recently concluded 16th Union Bank All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament. Rahul beat his Academy counterpart Aryamann Tandon in straight sets 21-12, 21-14 in the Finals to lift his 2nd consecutive Under-19 Boys Singles Title.

Lakshya Sen, 15, is walking off the court after a three-hour-long training session at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru. Lakshya Sen bags silver in German Juniors

Lakshya Sen did one better than his performance at the Dutch Junior by winning the silver medal in Under-19 Men's singles at the German Junior Championships which concluded yesterday in Berlin. Lakshya wins Bronze at the Dutch Junior Championships

World Junior No. 1 Lakshya Sen fell at the penultimate hurdle in the Dutch Junior Championships which concluded in Haarlem, Netherlands yesterday. Lakshya lost to eventual winner Chen Chi Ting of Chinese Taipei 19-15, 15-21. Lakshya Sen claims silver in the Senior Nationals

Fifteen year old Lakshya Sen of Uttarakhand became the youngest so far to reach the finals of the Senior National Badminton Championship.
