14 year old Laa Tukum from Arunachal Pradesh, became the Under-15 National Champion at the 30th Sub Junior National Championships held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh which concluded on Sunday, 4th December. 4th Seeded Tukum beat Priyanshu Rajawat in a hard fought 3 setter in the Finals. Eventhough Tukum lost the first game 18-21 he came back strongly to win the next two games 21-11 & 21-16. Tukum has been a permanent trainee of Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy since the age of 9.
