Lakshya wins Bronze at the German Junior Championships

World Junior No. 1 Lakshya Sen fell at the penultimate hurdle in the Dutch Junior Championships which concluded in Haarlem, Netherlands yesterday. Lakshya lost to eventual winner Chen Chi Ting of Chinese Taipei 19-15, 15-21. He had a fairly easy time reaching the semis with wins over Mehmet Capar of Turkey 21-9, 21-7, Chong King Lim of Malaysia 21-10, 21-13, Takuma Obayashi of Japan 21-18, 21-15 amd Fpmg Hau Sim of Malaysia 21-19, 21-15. Lakshya gets a chance to make amends at the German Junior Championship which starts on the 9th March in Berlin.

Kartikey did well to reach the fourth round where he lost to Jesper Toft of Denmark 21-19, 14-21, 18-21. Kiran George lost to second seeded Chia Hao Lee of Korea in straight games 12-21, 14-21.

In the Girls Doubles event, Mithula and Dhruv Kapila, the national champions, also gave a good account of themselves by reaching the quarterfinals where they ran to the fifth seeded Malaysians Ee Wei Toh and Eng Cheong Ng close 23-25, 15-21.
