Trainees of the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy continued their dominance by claiming 5 out of 9 events in the recently concluded All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at Thirupati.
In the Under-19 Boys singles, Lakshya Sen beat Kanishq of Air India in straight games 21-15,21-15. In the Under-17 Boys Singles it was all Academy affair in which Kartikey beat Maisnam Meiraba 21-15 19-21 21-13. Under-19 Girls Doubles finals also saw all Academy players where the pair of Mahima Aggarwal & Shikha Gautham defeated their counterpart Ashwini Bhat & Mithula U K 18-21, 21-15,21-17. However in the Under-17 Girls Doubles, Mithula and Ashwini regrouped themselves to beat Samiya and Gayatri of AP 21-19, 21-17 and lifted their 3rd trophy of the season. Mahima Aggarwal partnered Krishna Prasad G to win the Under-19 Mixed Doubles beating Dhru Kapila and Kuhoo Garg 21-19, 21-14.
