The Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA) was launched on October 1st, 1994. Located at the state-of-the-art, multi-sport Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence campus spread over 15 acres close to the Kempegowda International Airport, the Academy was started by Mr. Prakash Padukone, Mr. Vimal Kumar and Mr. Vivek Kumar – all stalwarts of Indian Badminton.
The founders of the Academy, having won numerous international awards in Badminton amongst them, possessed the expertise and technical know-how required to create a world-class Badminton training facility.
